The summer transfer window has taken an exciting turn as Paris Saint-Germain. Le Parisien reported on Monday that the capital club is pursuing Celta Vigo’s talented midfielder, Gabri Veiga.
PSG isn’t alone in this track as the Spain international is garnering the attention of top European clubs. The French media outlet notes that Chelsea, Liverpool, Barcelona, Real Madrid, and Manchester City are in the mix.

While the 2022-23 Ligue 1 champions are beginning to heat up on this file, they’re behind the other clubs vying for Veiga. The 21-year-old is under contract until 2026 with Celta Vigo. As a result, the Spanish club can hold out until one club pays their asking price.
Nonetheless, the French giants do have an insight into this track. Their sporting advisor Luis Campos also works for Celta Vigo, so if they want to accelerate this file, they have the right man for the job.
A move for Veiga will likely depend on Luis Enrique. PSG might hit overdrive if the Spanish boss feels the need for the young midfielder. However, if Enrique doesn’t desire the player, then it’s likely this file will fade.
