The future of Hugo Ekitiké remains uncertain as Paris Saint-Germain searches for a No. 9. The 21-year-old could be on his out since it wouldn’t be ideal for Ekitiké’s career trajectory to be a backup.
Calciomercato.com’s Daniele Longo reports that Ekitiké is a Plan B for AC Milan, who are keen on FC Porto’s Mehdi Taremi. The Serie A side has inquired about the player, but there’s no further information.

Ekitiké isn’t the only backup plan that Milan has in their file. Longo revealed that AZ Alkmaar’s Vangelis Pavlidis is an option, and he would cost the Italian club €17 million.
The other option is Feyenoord’s Santiago Giménez, but the Dutch club’s asking price is too high for AC Milan’s taste. It will be interesting to see if the Serie A side goes after the PSG youngster to see him possibly grow at San Siro.
AC Milan has a veteran Frenchman that Ekitiké can learn from should he head to Italy in Olivier Giroud. Furthermore, he’d play at a prominent club vying for the league title and UEFA Champions League trophy.
The striker should head elsewhere to garner more playing time, whether it’s AC Milan or another club.
