Ousmane Dembélé appears to be on his way to joining Paris Saint-Germain in the coming hours. The capital club will trigger the €50 million release clause to bring the 26-year-old back to France.
Jijantes FC’s Gerard Romero reports that Moussa Sissoko, the agent of Dembélé, has called La Liga to inform them of PSG’s intention to trigger the player’s release clause.
Furthermore, Romero notes that Dembélé doesn’t want to leave the Catalan side on bad terms. As a result, the Frenchman seeks a three-way agreement between Barcelona, La Liga, and PSG to ensure that his exit from the Spanish club does not occur on sour terms.

Dembélé’s time at Barcelona has been marked by both moments of brilliance and periods of injury struggles. Nonetheless, the forward’s exit will be a significant blow both on the pitch and financially.
The deal structure for Dembélé’s potential transfer is equally intriguing. If PSG successfully triggers the release clause, the player would be entitled to 50 percent of the fee, amounting to €25 million. The remaining 50 percent, also €25 million, would be paid to Barcelona.
If the Spanish club wants to replace the winger, they’ll likely need more than €25 million.
