Neymar Slapped with £2.6 Million Fine for Building Unauthorized Lake at Brazilian Mansion

Paris Saint-Germain’s superstar forward Neymar has found himself in hot water after being hit with a hefty 16 million reais (£2.6 million/$3.3 million) fine for unauthorized construction at his luxurious mansion in Brazil (h/t GOAL).

The fine comes from an investigation by the local council in Mangaratiba, a coastal town located south of Rio de Janeiro, which uncovered multiple “irregularities” in the ambitious construction project.

On June 22, details emerged regarding the investigation into Neymar’s lavish mansion, revealing a series of violations in the construction process—the focal point of the probe centered around the creation of a lake on the property.

As a result, the investigation deemed the lake to be an unauthorized addition. The local council in Mangaratiba has taken swift action by imposing a substantial fine on the 31-year-old.

While the financial implications of the fine may not significantly impact Neymar’s wealth, it serves as an important reminder for the PSG forward to adhere to local laws and regulations.

Neymar, known for his flamboyant lifestyle and extravagant purchases, now faces rectifying the violations and resolving the matter with the local council.
