In a recent interview, Cher Ndour, who signed a five-year contract with Paris Saint-Germain this summer, expressed high praise for Kylian Mbappé.
The 18-year-old spoke with Gazzetta dello Sport about many topics, including his thoughts on the Frenchman. Although the PSG star is only 24, Ndour is likely part of the generation that saw Mbappé hit stardom at a young age.
“He’s the strongest in the world in recent football, among the very few who make a difference,” Ndour said (h/t Paris Fans). “There are many other young people who show up, but there is no debate; he is on another level.”
Ndour also answered a question regarding the comparisons he has received to Juventus’ Paul Pogba. The midfielder knows the honor of having a similar game to the 2018 FIFA World Cup winner.
“I take it as a source of pride and motivation to improve myself,” Ndour continued. “He’s one of the best midfielders in the world, I’m going to do everything to try to reach his level and maybe one day do even better.”

While PSG is high on Ndour, the capital club knows the teenager needs first-team playing time. As a result, there are reports that PSG could loan the midfielder to Sampdoria, who will be playing in Serie B this 2023-24 season.
A move to Italy would allow him to grow further and play in a country he knows would probably be suitable for his long-term development.
