Mbappé to Extend at PSG if Real Madrid Misses Out, Claims Pedrerol

The Kylian Mbappé transfer continues to take its twist and turns. Spanish journalist Josep Pedrerol has suggested what will happen if Real Madrid doesn’t land the Frenchman this summer.

According to Pedrerol, should Los Blancos fail to bring the 24-year-old to the Santiago Bernabéu Stadium, he will sign an extension with Paris Saint-Germain. Mbappé’s contract with the Ligue 1 side will expire next summer.

Pedrerol adds that the capital club doesn’t want to lower its €200 million price tag. Meanwhile, Real Madrid has no intention of playing that sum. Then there’s the mother of Mbappé, who wants her son to secure the reported €60 million loyalty bonus.

Real Madrid’s pursuit of Mbappé is driven by their desire to strengthen their squad and bolster their attacking options. The Frenchman’s prodigious talent, electric pace, and clinical finishing make him a highly sought-after player in the footballing world.

The Spanish club’s ambitions to secure Mbappé’s signature are aligned with their historical approach of signing top-tier players to maintain their competitive edge.

If Mbappé chooses to extend his contract, many will want to see whether a handshake agreement will allow the 2018 FIFA World Cup winner to leave for Real Madrid next summer.
