Marco Verratti could be saying goodbye to Paris Saint-Germain this summer transfer window. The 30-year-old has been the face of the midfield, but now it seems changes are coming.
Verratti’s name is in the rumor mill this summer, so a move isn’t surprising. However, seeing him going to Saudi Arabia amid links to Liverpool and Atlético de Madrid is a shocker.
Transfer window specialist Fabrizio Romano reported on Tuesday that the Italian is on the verge of joining Saudi Arabian club Al Hilal. Romano adds that the deal is said to be in its advanced stages.

The proposed deal would see Verratti make a move to Al Hilal for a three-year contract. As for the transfer cost, Romano didn’t reveal the amount that the Al-Hilal will pay for the UEFA Euro 2020 winner.
Nonetheless, expect it to be a significant fee as PSG likely isn’t letting him leave at a discount. Since joining PSG in 2012 from Pescara, Verratti has established himself as one of the world’s most reliable and technically gifted midfielders.
If this transfer does go through, it truly is an end of an era at PSG.
