Xavi Simons reportedly returns to Paris Saint-Germain after spending the 2022-23 season with PSV Eindhoven. The capital club triggered the €6 million buyback clause, and Simons is willing to return to the French capital.
L’Equipe reports that Manchester United has emerged as a serious contender to secure the loan for Simons, although RB Leipzig appears to be leading the negotiations.

There’s also conflicting information regarding any clauses in a possible loan. The French media outlet revealed that Simons’ loan to Leipzig could include an option to buy, and PSG would have a buyback option.
However, transfer window specialist Fabrizio Romano reports there will not be any buy option for Simons.

Simons could go out on loan if two transfer sagas don’t resolve themselves. Romano highlights that Simons’ future at PSG hinges on the decisions involving Kylian Mbappé and Neymar.
With Manchester United manager Erik Ten Hag likely keeping an eye on the Eredivisie, it is no surprise that he’d like to have Simons for at least one season.
The capital club likely wants the 20-year-old to play in a more challenging league than what’s offered in the Netherlands. However, for Simons to head to the Premier League could make or break his confidence.
