Lazio and AS Roma Enter Negotiations for PSG Midfielder for Summer Move – Report

Leandro Paredes’ future is going to be somewhere other than Paris Saint-Germain. The midfielder likely doesn’t come into the plans of new manager Luis Enrique; as a result, Paredes is seeing his name in rumors.

TyC Sports’ Gastón Edul reports that Galatasaray’s pursuit of the Argentine has ended. According to the information, the Turkish giants are not an option for the 2022 FIFA World Cup winner.

Edul adds that negotiations are underway with Serie A clubs Lazio and AS Roma. The transfer would potentially see Paredes continue his career in Italy. The 29-year-old spent the 2022-23 season on loan at Juventus, but the Old Lady opted not to keep the player.

With just one year left on his contract, PSG seems keen to part ways with the Argentine midfielder. The Argentine midfielder, who joined PSG in 2019, has struggled to hold a starting position consistently and has fallen in the pecking order in the midfield hierarchy.

PSG’s willingness to negotiate with Lazio and AS Roma indicates their intent to secure a suitable deal for Paredes and remove his salary offer from their books.
