As the summer transfer window reaches its final month, Paris Saint-Germain finds itself in a predicament with their star forward Kylian Mbappé’s future hanging in the balance.
PSG likely wants a clean slate with new manager Luis Enrique, but the 24-year-old remains in the fold. Furthermore, the 2018 FIFA World Cup winner isn’t making the ordeal easier for the Ligue 1 champions.
Spanish media outlet AS’ Andrés Onrubia reports that with Real Madrid remaining the only club Mbappé desires to join, PSG is left uncertain about handling the situation.
🇫🇷 As days go by, PSG will not know what to do as Madrid is the only club Mbappé wants to join. It’s not ruled out that PSG will call Madrid up to inform them about selling him. @AndiOnrubia pic.twitter.com/Ycr5MKOQcM

As the days pass, the French club may have no choice but to make a tough decision. Onrubia adds that there are indications that PSG might contact Real Madrid to initiate talks about selling their star player.
With only weeks left until the summer transfer window closes, PSG has to accelerate the process. Mbappé would command a significant transfer fee if he leaves. The French side cannot afford to miss out on having that sum come into the club.
The next few weeks could prove pivotal in determining the future of one of the most sought-after talents in world football.
