As Paris Saint-Germain begins its summer tour in Japan and South Korea, there are two storylines to follow with the group: The health status of Neymar Jr. and Kang-in Lee.
L’Equipe provided an update on these two players as the PSG squad has landed in Japan. Neymar made an impression in his first entire team session, scoring a half-volley, so it’s a positive sign he’s trending in the right direction.
Meanwhile, Lee didn’t participate in training as he might still be feeling the effects of what led him to exit the match. PSG has to take it slow with these two players and not rush them until they’re 100 percent.

Neymar is coming off an ankle injury that ended his 2022-23 season in February. Over the last few months, the 31-year-old has been working his way to be fit for the start of the 2023-24 campaign.
However, the Brazilian isn’t alone on the injury list. New arrival Kang-in Lee picked up an injury during PSG’s first friendly match against Le Havre. The 22-year-old left the contest after grabbing his hamstring.
Lee and Neymar will be counted on to fill the offensive void left behind by Lionel Messi and Kylian Mbappe, should he leave.
