The Kylian Mbappé transfer saga took an odd turn recently with a rumor linking the Frenchman to Liverpool FC. According to the information, the Reds would have wanted to acquire the 24-year-old on a one-year loan.
Afterward, Mbappé could head to Real Madrid, where many assume he wants to go. Nonetheless, a one-year stay at Anfield would allow the 2018 FIFA World Cup winner to experience the Premier League.
Nonetheless, Liverpool manager Jürgen Klopp hilariously commented on the situation as he debunked any rumor connecting the Premier League club to the Paris Saint-Germain star.
“Mbappé and Liverpool links? We laugh about it!” Klopp said (h/t Fabrizio Romano). “I can say that I think he’s a really good player, but the financial conditions don’t suit us at all. That would be first time in eight years that someone else from the club is preparing something and wants to surprise me!”

The Ligue 1 champions are attempting to move on from their star player this summer transfer window. Mbappé opted not to trigger his option to extend his contract until 2025. As a result, he will become a free agent next summer.
