João Félix’s Potential Move to PSG Depends on Future of Neymar – Report

Over the last few days, Atlético Madrid forward João Félix is in the rumor mill with a possible move to Paris Saint-Germain. However, if the Portugal international arrives in the French capital, one exit must occur.

Spanish outlet AS reported on Sunday that Félix’s arrival is contingent on the resolution of Neymar’s future at the French club.

Should PSG fail to expedite the process and finalize Neymar’s situation within the next 10 days, Félix is moving to Plan B. The former Benfica star reportedly has decided to talk to Atlético Madrid manager Diego Simeone about a departure.

While Neymar has his name in the rumor recently, it seems unlikely the 31-year-old will exit this summer. With the pending arrival of Luis Enrique, who coached him at FC Barcelona, Neymar will probably remain at PSG.

Félix’s desire to leave Atlético Madrid stems from various factors. The 23-year-old might perceive a lack of opportunities to get his career back on track. Additionally, he may desire a new challenge, considering he ended the 2022-23 season on loan to Chelsea.

Despite his initial promise and occasional moments of brilliance, Félix has struggled to consistently showcase his talent at the Spanish club, contributing to his decision to seek a fresh start elsewhere.

If soon-to-be PSG manager Enrique wants Félix, he still sees the potential the forward flashed at Benfica. Perhaps the Spanish tactician believes he can pull that out of him.
