Paris Saint-Germain is nearing the transfer of FC Barcelona’s Ousmane Dembélé. The capital club intends to trigger the Frenchman’s €50 million release clause to secure the player.
The 26-year-old wants to leave Camp Nou on good terms despite leaving a small amount, considering how much Barcelona initially paid in 2017. However, time might not be on PSG’s side.
Fabrizio Romano reports, citing sources, that PSG has to be super fast to trigger the release clause, but there’s concern that this could not be possible in terms of timing to complete the whole process with the release clause.
Nonetheless, PSG’s priority remains to trigger Dembélé’s €50 million release clause, and they want to make it happen Monday.

If it’s not possible, they want to negotiate with Barcelona to find the best way to make the deal happen. The Frenchman has already accepted, but nothing has been signed yet.
For Dembélé, the coming hours could be pivotal in defining the next chapter of his career. The potential move to PSG represents an opportunity for a fresh start and a chance to shine in a new environment.
