Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Renato Sanches might see the writing on the wall regarding his future. The midfield position is crowded, and he knows that he’ll need minutes with UEFA Euro 2024 on the horizon.
Calciomercato.com reports that PSG has accepted AS Roma’s loan option for Sanches. A move to the Serie A side would allow the Portugal international to earn a prominent role in José Mourinho’s squad.

Under the guidance of their manager, Mourinho, Roma aims to bolster their midfield options. As a result, Sanches perfectly fits the bill. By joining Roma on loan, the 25-year-old would have an increased chance of featuring regularly. Additionally, he can prove his worth in one of Europe’s top leagues.
With the deal currently on the table, Roma must decide in the coming hours to finalize details for the loan. Recognizing the importance of consistent playing time and not having Sanches remain to the bench, a move to Roma is the best solution.
Sanches might have the opportunity to test himself in Italian football. The league has a reputation for its tactical nature and intensity. A successful loan spell could also open the door to the midfielder remaining or at least creating a market for him next summer.
