Manchester City midfielder Bernardo Silva is on Paris Saint-Germain’s radar this summer transfer window. The capital club likely feels that the Portugal international can easily replace the production Lionel Messi provided.
Foot Mercato reported on Monday that football agent Jorge Mendes has set his sights on bringing the 28-year-old to the French capital.
Mendes has been actively working on the potential transfer of Silva to PSG. The agent is determined to see the talented midfielder don the PSG jersey for the upcoming season.
However, securing the Portuguese midfielder’s move to the French capital is complex. Having already made an undisclosed initial offer, PSG is cautious about investing an excessive amount to acquire Silva’s services.
Manchester City likely doesn’t want to sell their star player, considering he’s under contract until 2025. As a result, there’s no pressure to move off from the player and why they have a high asking price.
Nonetheless, with Silva having won the treble with Manchester City this 2022-23 season, he might want a new challenge. The midfielder is still young enough to move elsewhere and be a key contributor.
