Lionel Messi’s run at Paris Saint-Germain came to a close on Saturday. PSG announced before its Ligue 1 home fixture against Clermont Foot that Messi will not re-sign with the club.
Messi logged 32 goals during his two-season run at PSG, including 22 goals in Ligue 1 play. He scored multiple memorable goals while with the Ligue 1 powerhouse. For one, he scored the late, game-winning goal in PSG’s Ligue 1 home fixture against Lille OSC in February.
The wait is now on to see just which club will end up winning the Messi sweepstakes.
