The Latest Blow to Al-Hilal: Neymar Not Interested in Saudi Move – Report

Al-Hilal reportedly has Neymar Jr. as their Plan B after their plan to sign Lionel Messi failed. The Saudi Arabian side is willing to offer a similar salary that Cristiano Ronaldo earns at Al-Nassr.

If Neymar were to green-light a move, he’d earn around €200 million annually, with Al-Hilal paying Paris Saint-Germain a €45 million transfer fee. However, despite the reported lucrative offer, the 31-year-old might not be keen to leave.

RMC Sport reported on Sunday that the Brazilian intends to stay in Europe unless the pressing of Saudi Arabia does not make him change his mind. PSG is open to allowing Neymar to exit the French capital, but it seems a move would only be to another European club.

The PSG star has a contract until 2025, so he holds control over where his football career will continue. As a result, even with Al-Hilal representatives meeting with his camp, it might not be enough for him to say goodbye to the old continent just yet.

Nonetheless, it will be interesting to see how the summer months unfold for Neymar as the French giants would welcome a departure as it would get his wages off their books.
