FC Barcelona and Paris Saint-Germain might be breathing a sigh of relief after MARCA initially reported that a Saudi Arabian side was coming after Manchester City’s Bernardo Silva.
However, the Spanish media outlet’s information is being challenged by Foot Mercato’s Santi Aouna, who also reported on Wednesday that Silva is indeed Al-Hilal’s priority. Nonetheless, the 28-year-old isn’t keen on leaving Europe for Saudi Arabia.
C'était la priorité d'Al-Hilal après Messi mais aux dernières nouvelles il ne voulait pas y aller

Sporting advisor Luis Campos has put Silva as his top target this summer transfer window. The Portugal international is likely the ideal replacement for Lionel Messi in the goal and creating production.
The 2023 UEFA Champions League winner has a contract with Manchester City until 2025, so there’s no rush to sell him if the right offer doesn’t come from either Barcelona or PSG this summer transfer window.
It will be interesting to see if the threat of Saudi Arabia puts a fire under either of these two teams to push for Silva and get this transfer across the finish line. Furthermore, for PSG, if Luis Enrique validates this file, it puts even more pressure on getting this transfer done.
