PSG Targets Manchester United’s Rashford to Replace Mbappé Amid Real Madrid Links – Report

Kylian Mbappé has an uncertain future at Paris Saint-Germain. However, the 24-year-old has stated a desire to remain in the French capital and honor the final year of his contract.

As Mbappé’s name continues to sound connected to Real Madrid, the 2022-23 Ligue 1 champions, PSG has to look at other options to replace the France international.

Le Parisien’s Benjamin Quarez stated on L’Equipe du Soir is reportedly considering Marcus Rashford as one of the potential signings if Kylian Mbappé leaves the club during the current summer transfer window.

While Rashford’s contract with Manchester United expires in 2024, recent reports suggest that the player and the club are close to reaching a new long-term deal.

As a result, a move for Rashford could complicate PSG’s pursuit of the English forward. However, if the Manchester United star has yet to put pen to paper, there could be an interest in acquiring his services to bolster their attacking options.

Rashford has established himself as a key figure at Manchester United since making his debut for the club in 2016. Known for his explosive pace, versatility, and clinical finishing, Rashford has showcased his immense talent domestically and internationally.

His ability to play as a winger or a central striker would give PSG valuable flexibility in their attacking setup. However, it remains to be seen how likely this transfer will materialize.

The Red Devils would undoubtedly be reluctant to let go of one of their star players, especially considering his potential and the long-term vision for the club. The reported progress in contract negotiations between Rashford and Manchester United could further complicate PSG’s pursuit.
