PSG, Manchester City Disagreement Gives Barcelona Boost for Bernardo Silva – Report

Paris Saint-Germain’s pursuit of Manchester City’s talented midfielder, Bernardo Silva, seems to have hit a roadblock, with indications suggesting that a transfer is unlikely to materialize.

Despite initial speculation and interest from PSG, GOAL France reported on Sunday that one key factor contributes to the dwindling chances of this transfer happening.

According to the French media outlet, Manchester City is asking for more than Paris is willing to put in regarding a transfer fee.

Silva is the priority target of the transfer window for PSG. And the negotiations with the player’s entourage have evolved positively; the Portuguese winger, however, wants to take his time, not rush things.

But at the club level, Manchester City has refused the last offer from PSG, deemed too weak, ending the discussions.

The Portuguese playmaker has been an integral part of Pep Guardiola’s squad, showcasing his versatility, technical ability, and tactical intelligence on numerous occasions.

Silva has won everything at Manchester City, so it makes sense that he wants a new challenge in the final years of his prime with his recent links to PSG and FC Barcelona.

However, it doesn’t seem the English club wants to move on from the player who is under contract until 2025.
