PSG Gets Boost in Chase for Man City’s Bernard Silva, Why Barcelona Is Out

Paris Saint-Germain appears to be in the clear with their desire to land Bernardo Silva this summer transfer window. After a report that Al-Hilal is keen on the 28-year-old, this file has even further information.

Transfer window specialist Fabrizio Romano reported on Wednesday that Silva has not decided on his future yet. Additionally, PSG considers the Portugal international a priority target, and Saudi clubs are pushing.

Romano also adds that Financial Fair Play will keep FC Barcelona from continuing in the race for the 2023 UEFA Champions League winner. The Italian journalist concludes by saying the decision is up to Silva.

However, he does add that negotiations with Manchester City won’t be easy as they still hope to keep him. Silva is under contract until 2025.

Bernardo Silva doesn’t have eyes for Saudi Arabia

While Romano notes interest from Saudi Arabia as Al-Hilal is rumored to be in on the player, there was more information on Silva possibly leaving Europe.

Foot Mercato’s Santi Aouna reported on Wednesday that Silva is indeed Al-Hilal’s priority. Nonetheless, the 28-year-old isn’t keen on leaving Europe for Saudi Arabia.
