Percentages Revealed: Report Shares Who Might Win Messi Sweepstakes

Lionel Messi will become a free agent on July 1, and over the last few days, news has been running wild over where the Argentine will play the 2023-24 season.

It seems the 35-year-old wants to have his future figured out before the summer months begin. As a result, many are on standby for when the Paris Saint-Germain star will announce where he’ll play next season.

Spanish media outlet SPORT shared the percentages of who will land Messi with the non-European options leading the sweepstakes. According to the reporting, Al Hilal and Inter Miami share a 40 percent of signing the 2022 FIFA World Cup winner.

Afterward, Barcelona comes third in the race with a 15 percent chance of reuniting with the seven-time Ballon d’Or. Then, finally, the outlet notes that PSG and Messi signing an extension this summer is at five percent.

The veteran goal scorer likely will have to decide whether to move to Saudi Arabia, where he has an ambassador deal, or head to South Flordia, where the Argentina national team has opened up offices.
