Messi’s Father Reveals When Argentine Star Will Sign Contract

The future of Lionel Messi will be decided in the next two days as the 35-year-old’s father and agent, Jorge, appeared on the Twitch show Jijantes FC, where he revealed when they intend to make their decision.

Jorge met with FC Barcelona club president Joan Laporta, but SPORT did reveal that optimism about the possible arrival of the player had grown. Still, the passing of the hours may have cooled the enthusiasm.

While exiting the restaurant, Jorge stated they would make “the decision will be known this Tuesday or Wednesday.”

Messi’s father added that “it is difficult” regarding the decision as to where his son will be playing in the 2023-24 season. Additionally, he stated that the decision would not be due to an economic issue but rather due to the impossibility of signing the player.

Outside of Barcelona, Saudi Arabia’s Al-Hilal and MLS side Inter Miami are keen on landing to soon-to-be former Paris Saint-Germain as Messi will likely sign a pre-contract since his contract with the French giants doesn’t expire until June 30.
