Paris Saint-Germain’s search for a center-forward to pair with Kylian Mbappé will continue after one of their primary transfer targets has reportedly turned them down.
Marcus Thuram’s contract at Borussia Mönchengladbach expires at the end of the month, making him one of the most prized free transfers on the market. According to a report from L’Equipe, the Frenchman informed executives at PSG that he will not be joining the club during the summer transfer window.

While the news is a blow to PSG’s plans to rebuild its squad, Manchester United, Liverpool, Chelsea, and AC Milan stand to benefit, with a significant competitor now out of the race for Thuram’s signature.
Last season, Thuram recorded 13 goals and six assists in 30 Bundesliga appearances with Mönchengladbach. It was a breakout season for the attacker who came up the ranks at FC Sochaux and En Avant Guingamp.
For PSG, they will turn their attention to Harry Kane of Tottenham Hotspur, Xavi Simons at PSV Eindhoven, and Manchester City’s Bernardo Silva.
