Liverpool Defender Approves of PSG-Nagelsmann; Bayern Munich Star on the Radar?

Paris Saint-Germain appears to be on the verge of hiring Julian Nagelsmann. The German tactician is out of work after Bayern Munich sacked him in March, and if the capital does hire him, Liverpool FC’s Ibrahima Konaté approves.

Nagelsmann coached Konaté during his time at RB Leipzig and recently spoke with reporters, commenting on the possibility of the 35-year-old taking over the biggest club in France.

“He is a very good coach, a very very very good coach,” Konaté told reporters. “At the time, he was still young so he had certain flaws in relation to the relationship with certain players. But I think that having passed through Bayern, he must have gained a lot of experience.

“He has a really incredible game idea, and if the players agree with him, he is a coach who can do very, very badly. Even if it ended badly with Bayern, when you look at the results in the Champions League, it was not bad, I think! Now, if he wants to come to PSG and PSG wants him, it can be something beautiful perhaps.”

Nagelsmann has a transfer request?

If Nagelsmann does get the job, the 35-year-old manager has his transfer request. L’Equipe reported that Bayern Munich defender Benjamin Pavard could emerge as a target if Nagelsmann takes over the PSG job.

Pavard would be a familiar player to Nagelsmann as he had him during his time with the German giants. The France international would fit the profile of adding more French talent.

He also could be the second Bayern Munich defender as PSG eyes Lucas Hernandez to help improve their backline this summer transfer window.
