Lionel Messi Moving to MLS, Inter Miami has Carlos Vela Excited

Lionel Messi intends to sign with MLS side Inter Miami once his contract with Paris Saint-Germain expires on June 30. The news that the Argentine is coming to the United States in a few weeks has many players being asked about their reaction.

One of the more prominent players in MLS is LAFC’s Carlos Vela. After their 4-0 loss to Houston Dynamo on Saturday at Shell Energy Stadium. The Mexican international is excited to have the 2022 FIFA World Cup winner. 

“I think it is great news for the league, for all the teams and players, but I I still think that we are the ones who want to win the title,” Vela said (h/t AS). “His arrival is a good thing for the league and everything around MLS, but our plans don’t change.”

Messi will be tasked with growing the MLS’ profile globally, as anyone can watch the league’s games if they subscribe to the league’s deal with Apple TV. As a result, fans of the Argentine from all over the world will have access to Inter Miami contests but also watch the entire league.
