Kylian Mbappé spoke with reporters on Thursday ahead of the France national team’s 2024 UEFA Euro qualifying match against Gibraltar.
The media asked the 24-year-old about his future with Paris Saint-Germain. Mbappé confirmed that he opted not to trigger the option to extend his contract until 2025.
As a result, many want to know what’s next for the 2018 FIFA World Cup winner.
“I already answered this question,” Mbappé told reporters (h/t Paris Fans). “I said that my objective was to continue at the club, to stay at Paris Saint-Germain is my only option at the moment. I’m ready to come back to the recovery. Hopefully, the next questions will be about tomorrow’s game.”
PSG gives Mbappé an ultimatum?
Transfer window specialist Fabrizio Romano reported on Thursday that the capital club’s stance remains unchanged even after the France international spoke with the media about his future.
◉ Arsenal will bid again for Rice as they know timing will be crucial;
◉ PSG still clear on Mbappé: new deal to be signed now or available on the market;
◉ Havertz says yes to Arsenal bid and project;

It seems the French giants don’t want to let Mbappé leave on a free transfer and have an entire 2023-24 season be about whether he will go or not.
Mbappé wants to remain with PSG this season but the capital club is attempting to put the institution over any player, even if it’s the Parisian star.
