How AC Milan Will Attempt to Convince Marcus Thuram to Snub PSG – Report

AC Milan and Paris Saint-Germain are battling to land Marcus Thuram this summer. However, the Serie A side could receive a gift from Luis Enrique in their chase to land the France international.

Enrique reportedly doesn’t see Thuram as positive light for his system. As a result, it opens the door for manager Stefano Pioli as he continues to push for Thuram personally.

La Gazzetta dello Sport reported (h/t Football Italia) on Tuesday that while the offer from AC Milan is below PSG’s (€5 million to 5.5 million net per season), the Italian club has another way to convince the forward to choose them over the capital club.

Pioli has already promised the striker a central role in the project, which might not be a sure thing at PSG, especially with Enrique likely to take over as manager.

The report also reveals that Thuram will talk with the new PSG coach in the coming days before deciding where he will continue his career. Thuram’s Borussia Mönchengladbach contract expires officially on June 30.
