The Marcus Thuram sweepstakes appear to be between AC Milan and Paris Saint-Germain. Thuram will become a free agent once his contract with Borussia Mönchengladbach expires on June 30.
Furthermore, Thuram isn’t planning to come cheap as the France international wants around €7m net per season in an annual salary. While the wage demand isn’t a tiny amount, Milan is confident it can beat out PSG.
Calciomercato.com’s Daniele Longo and Andrea Distaso reported (h/t Football Italia) that the Serie A side hopes to persuade Thuram to join by underlining his importance to the project. The Italian club also promises a central role in Stefano Pioli’s team.
Nonetheless, a recent report by L’Equipe also revealed that Thuram desires to play in Paris, which is home to him. Furthermore, there’s the challenge of winning and the presence of Kylian Mbappé, who lobbied greatly for his teammate on the French national team.
Thuram could decide soon on where he’ll play next season and if it’s PSG, it will be addition No. 4 to their summer transfer window.
