Final Hurdle Revealed for PSG to Land Bayern Munich’s Lucas Hernandez – Report

Bayern Munich’s Lucas Hernandez is on the verge of joining Paris Saint-Germain in a highly anticipated and controversial move. Hernandez is from Marseille, so some don’t like the transfer, but he fills a left-footed center-back role.

Cadena SER reported on Monday that Hernandez should indeed be a PSG player; all that’s missing is the medical visit.

As the deal nears completion, the only remaining step is the medical examination to confirm the player’s fitness. This development comes after Hernandez suffered a torn ACL during the 2022 FIFA World Cup.

If PSG can get a healthy Hernandez for the 2023-24 season, the French giants will get a player with experience playing at the highest level, including winning the FIFA World Cup with France in 2018.

While the report regarding Hernandez’s move to PSG did not disclose the financial details of the transfer, it will be interesting to see if the capital club can secure an economical fee or if it involves a substantial sum.

Once the transfer becomes official, there’s no doubt that the figures will begin to trickle out.

Joining PSG presents Hernandez with a fresh challenge and the opportunity to compete for domestic and European silverware while playing in his home country.

Update:

Transfer window specialist Fabrizio Romano confirmed the reporting by the Spanish media outlet. PSG is close to signing Hernandez as talks progress to the final stages between clubs.

The deal is almost in place with Bayern Munich, with final details to be discussed soon and then completed. Personal terms agreements are 100 percent done and sealed.
