Paris Saint-Germain is in the market for a No. 9 this summer transfer window. However, that striker will not be João Félix.
Although reports in Spain suggest that soon-to-be PSG manager Luis Enrique wants the Portugal international, that’s not the case. According to RMC Sport, Enrique and PSG aren’t keen on the 23-year-old.
Félix struggled to find his footing at Atletico Madrid and finished the 2022-23 season on loan at Chelsea. Nonetheless, the Blues opted not to keep the forward.
It will be interesting to see what direction PSG and Enrique go to fill the striker role. There’s interest in Victor Osimhen, but the asking price is astronomically high; meanwhile, Harry Kane reportedly prefers Bayern Munich.
The transfer window rumor mill is only getting started. So if Kane and Osimhen aren’t going to Paris, there’s plenty of time to review other files. Nonetheless, the Ligue 1 side needs a striker to replace Lionel Messi and possibly Kylian Mbappé should he leave.
