Paris Saint-Germain sporting advisor Luis Campos is being shrewd with his moves to start the summer transfer window. However, if the club chief can pull off Xavi Simons’s return, it will be a bang for their buck investment.
Transfer window specialist Fabrizio Romano reported that the return of Simons from PSV could be much cheaper than many believed. Initially, the reports revealed that the buyback clause is €12 million.
However, PSG could bring back the talented midfielder much cheaper than the reports indicated.
“I’m telling you this exclusive piece of information I have, PSG has a buyback clause for Xavi Simons, but this is NOT € 12M; it’s less than this,” Romano said. “This is a very very cheap buy option clause.”

Campos has already dived into the free-agent market adding Milan Škriniar and Marco Asensio. Furthermore, the Portuguese club chief has spent wisely to revamp the midfield with the additions of Manuel Ugarte and Kang-in Lee.
While Simons can arrive for pennies on the dollar, at the end of the day, it’s the 20-year-old who has the final say on a potential return to the French capital this summer transfer window.
