Fabián Ruiz Weighs in on Real Madrid’s Marco Asensio Reportedly Joining PSG

Paris Saint-Germain will be attempting to improve their attack this summer as they’ve already lost the production from Lionel Messi. As a result, the Ligue 1 side has reportedly signed Marco Asensio for the 2023-24 season.

Furthermore, the capital club could lose Kylian Mbappé and Neymar Jr. as they have been linked to a move away from PSG. Nonetheless, if the soon-to-be former Real Madrid forward does come to the French capital, Fabián Ruiz is giving his approval.

“We haven’t talked about it much yet,” Ruiz told Relevo. “I will be very happy for him to come to PSG because he is a player who can help us and also because I have a very good relationship with him.”

If Asensio does come once his contract with Real Madrid expires on June 30, then Ruiz will have a player he’s familiar with, considering the two have played together on the Spain national team.

The 27-year-old scored 12 goals and registered eight assists in 51 appearances during the 2022-23 season. So while Asensio won’t fully replace Messi’s goals and assists next season, he can chip that way PSG doesn’t miss the Argentine’s production.
