Lucas Hernandez is reportedly Paris Saint-Germain’s top target to fill the left-footed center-back role. Furthermore, the French defender is open to returning to his home country to be part of the capital club’s project.
However, Hernandez’s decision to leave isn’t sitting well with Former Bayern Munich and Germany midfielder Lothar Matthäus.
“I’d sell him immediately,” Matthäus told Sky. “He obviously has no appreciation left towards the club. It’s true he always showed mentality on the pitch, but he was also injured several times over months. As a player, you have to remember that & stay loyal.”

The 27-year-old French international joined Bayern Munich in 2019 from Atletico Madrid and has since established himself as a key component of the club’s defense.
Hernandez played a role in the team’s treble-winning campaign during the 2019-2020 season, including their UEFA Champions League triumph. Nonetheless, a move to PSG might mean he could be looking for a new challenge.
As the transfer saga unfolds, it will be up to PSG to work out a deal with Bayern Munich for Hernandez, who has one year left on his current contract. Regarding the asking price, the Bundesliga side wants €60 million for the 2018 FIFA World Cup winner.
