Lionel Messi is leaving Europe once his contract with Paris Saint-Germain officially expires on June 30. The 35-year-old will be heading to Inter Miami to continue his football career.
TyC Sports’ César Luis Merlo reported on Wednesday that Messi has already accepted the club’s offer: A long-term contract and a promise of a competitive team. Furthermore, Merlo notes that the MLS will assist in helping pay his contract.

Along with MLS helping pay Messi, other brands connected with the league are preparing to chip in with financial resources. So it seems that may have also worked in getting the Argentine to South Florida.
Meanwhile, FC Barcelona, who discussed possibly reuniting with Messi, has been ruled out. The Spanish club for weeks talked about the reunion with the Argentine and now it seems the tears at his press conference are how he’ll have left Barcelona.
Along with Inter Miami and Barcelona, Saudi Arabian side Al-Hilal was rumored to be in the mix; however, it seems they’ll be left out in the cold too.
