Now that the 2022-23 season is officially over for the top clubs in Europe, the rumors regarding Bernardo Silva are beginning to hit overdrive.
After Manchester City won the 2023 UEFA Champions League Final 1-0 over Inter Milan on Saturday at Atatürk Olympic Stadium, 90min reported on Monday that reaffirmed to Manchester City that he wants to leave the club this summer.
Silva, who has a contract until 2025, is reportedly seeking a new challenge. The Premier League club is willing to do business, providing they receive an offer around the £75 million mark.
According to 90min, it’s a two-horse race for Silva as Barcelona wants to bring the player to Camp Nou even though the reporting does note that there’s no guarantee that the Spanish club will have the financial means to complete a transfer.
Meanwhile, PSG sees Silva as an ideal replacement for Inter Miami-bound Lionel Messi. The Portugal international will be able to contribute both in the goal scoring and assisting to help fill Messi’s shoes for the 2023-24 season.
