Battle Royal: PSG Challenging Chelsea and Liverpool in Pursuit of Juve Star

Juventus will be without UEFA Champions League football for the 2023-24 season. As a result, players like Federico Chiesa could look to leave the Serie A side this summer transfer window.

La Gazzetta dello Sport (h/t Paris Fans) reported on Thursday that Paris Saint-Germain has thrown its hat into the ring to secure the services of Chiesa.

The race to land the highly sought-after Italian forward has intensified as PSG is one of several clubs in the race to land the 25-year-old. Liverpool, Chelsea, and Bayern Munich are cited as possible destinations for the Italian.

PSG has already said goodbye to Lionel Messi; meanwhile, Neymar Jr. and Kylian Mbappé have uncertain futures as the sumer transfer window gets underway.

The French giants are likely eager to reinforce its attacking department, and Chiesa’s arrival would undoubtedly inject a fresh dose of creativity and firepower into their ranks.

As the transfer window gains momentum, it remains to be seen which of these European heavyweights will emerge victorious in pursuing Chiesa. The bidding war is expected to be fierce, with Juventus reportedly demanding €60 million for the forward.

The Italian media outlet concludes that Chiesa, who is under contract until 2025, would like to play Champions League football next season and there’s a complicated relationship with coach Massimiliano Allegri.
