Lionel Messi played in his final match for Paris Saint-Germain in the 3-2 loss to Clermont Foot on Saturday at the Parc des Princes.
The 35-year-old’s contract expires on June 30, but reports suggest that Messi would have his future wrapped up before he officially becomes a free agent. Foot Mercato reported on Saturday that Al-Hilal remains confident of Messi’s arrival.
According to the report, Messi’s camp has already accepted the Saudi Arabian club’s offer of a two-year contract worth 1.2 billion euros. The Argentine hopes to reunite with Barcelona, but they’ve reportedly yet to submit an official bid.

Messi wants his future decided quickly before the summer months approach. The 2022 FIFA World Cup winner wants to avoid what happen in 2021 when it wasn’t until August that he had to leave Barcelona and ended up signing with PSG.
If there’s no Barcelona reunion, then Messi will likely be playing outside of Europe, with Al-Hilal and Inter Miami being the only other interested parties ready to sign the seven-time Ballon d’Or winner.
