The Special One In Paris? Report Reveals Latest In PSG’s Quest to Hire Roma’s Mourinho

Paris Saint-Germain appears ready to end the Christophe Galtier experiment and hire a manager with UEFA Champions League experience.

RMC Sport reported on Sunday that sporting advisor Luis Campos spoke with José Mourinho’s agent about a possible arrival this summer. The French media outlet adds that the AS Roma coach is interested in PSG.

As a result, the negotiations are advanced between Campos and the agent of the Portuguese coach, Jorge Mendes. Nonetheless, Mourinho does not hide, in private, a form of weariness.

Although he loves his life in Roma and rebuffed advances from Chelsea a few weeks ago, the “Special One” would like to find a new base closer to their ambitions.

After winning the UEFA Europa League Conference for his team, he knows it will be difficult for him to do better, given the means at his disposal. Among the clubs that can make him leave Roma are PSG and Real Madrid if the bench becomes free.

He is Campos’ favorite candidate for the managerial position at PSG. In other words, if the sports adviser has the last word on the choice of coach, Mourinho will have a foothold in the French capital.

The 60-year-old would then have to discuss with AS Roma since he is under contract until 2024. However, Campos intends to wait to move forward or speak publicly about the coach’s file before acquiring the Ligue 1 title.
