Former Paris Saint-Germain youth product Xavi Simons has flourished in his first season at PSV Eindhoven. As a result, there’s interest in the midfielder outside of the French giants, who can pay a low sum for the 20-year-old.
However, if the capital club wants Simons back and sporting advisor Luis Campos can convince him that he’s an integral part of the project, they’ll have to beat out some competition.
The Mirror recently reported that Arsenal will be offered the chance to sign Simons this summer. Simons is mulling up a move and has recently switched agents with extensive links with the Premier League club.

Simons has appeared in 46 matches in all competitions for the Dutch club, where the midfielder has scored 19 goals and registered 12 assists.
PSG has a buyback clause in the player’s contract for around £10 million, but the English media outlet notes that the Ligue 1 side has so far not approached the midfielder about a return to the Parc des Princes.
As a result, it’s unclear whether Simons would wish to return to Paris. Nonetheless, Arsenal shouldn’t be the only club in the mix for the talented player, as any team looking for a building block into the future will be in on Simons.
