Paris Saint-Germain is continuing to add names to its transfer wishlist ahead of this year’s summer transfer window. Now, PSG is eyeing the possibility of completing a blockbuster move for Manchester City midfielder Bernardo Silva.
According to a report from L’Equipe, Silva “wants to leave” Manchester City during the upcoming summer transfer window. The Portuguese playmaker, who has two more years left on his contract at Manchester City, is hoping to have a “new project” for next season.
The L’Equipe report adds that from Silva’s standpoint, “PSG is a destination that he likes a lot.”
PSG has tried before to bring in Silva to bolster its attacking depth. PSG football advisor Luis Campos reportedly expressed interest in signing Silva during last year’s summer transfer window, but the Portuguese talent ended up staying put at Manchester City.
Silva has shied away from opening up about his future with the reigning Premier League champions. For one, he noted in March that in regard to his future at Manchester City, “whatever happens, happens.”
Silva has been quite a reliable talent for Manchester City this season, tallying a combined 44 appearances in the Premier League and UEFA Champions League competitions.
“Campos PSG sporting direction for 2023/24: young and french players” – Bernardo is almost 30, and I don’t know Portugal is actually located in France LOL 😂 From Kylian Saint Germain to Portugal Saint Germain. Good luck with that!
