Ready for Change? Report Reveals Latest on PSG Hiring Roma’s Mourinho

Paris Saint-Germain finds itself in a crisis after the capital club suspended Lionel Messi for two weeks due to his unauthorized trip to Saudi Arabia.

As a result, it appears the Ligue 1 side is ready to make several changes this summer, beginning with the manager. Foot Mercato reported on Wednesday that contact between PSG and AS Roma manager Jose Mourinho exists.

The French media outlet notes that it doesn’t mean that Mourinho will be PSG’s next manager, but they view the Portuguese manager as a possible solution to help them with their current situation.

Mourinho has Romas in the UEFA Europa League semifinals and in a prime spot to qualify for the Champions League next season. The 60-year-old has rehabilitated his image and might now be ready for a major job.

PSG’s potential hiring of Mourinho will go one of two ways: It will work out with the manager winning the Champions League, or it can go up in flames. Nonetheless, it will be an interesting tenure should he get the job.
