Paris Saint-Germain manager Christophe Galtier could be in his last weeks on the sidelines for the capital club. The French giants might be looking for a new voice as sporting advisor Luis Campos continues to build the squad.
One name constantly surfacing in the rumor mill is AS Roma’s Jose Mourinho. The Daily Mail revealed on Friday that Mourinho is a leading candidate to replace Galtier.
Mourinho has one more year left on his contract with PSG and perhaps the “Special One” might be enticed to take the job for one last crack at winning the UEFA Champions League.
However, a recent report from France conflicts with this information. PSG sporting advisor Luis Campos is good friends with Mourinho, so it’s no surprise he could hire the 60-year-old this summer.
Nonetheless, the information reveals that working together daily could strain their friendship, which is why it wouldn’t be an ideal fit. It will be interesting to see if Mourinho is indeed the top candidate or if Campos will look elsewhere.
