No Contact? Mourinho Addresses Rumors Linking Roma Boss to PSG Job

Paris Saint-Germain will reportedly be looking for a new manager this summer, as the Christophe Galtier era might be done after one season. One of the names filtering to replace the French tactician is Jose Mourinho.

Mourinho is in his second season as AS Roma manager, where he could win his second straight international title. The “Special One” was asked about the rumors linking him to PSG ahead of the club’s UEFA Europe League semifinal contest.

“Paris Saint-Germain are calling to appoint me? If they’re looking for me, they didn’t find me because they haven’t talked to me”, Mourinho told Sky Sport.

The capital club appears to be heading toward a renovation this summer, with sporting advisor Luis Campos leading the charge. As a result, several prominent players, such as Lionel Messi and even Neymar Jr., could be on their way once the 2022-23 season ends.

It will be interesting to see if Campos’ relationship with Mourinho leads to the Portuguese manager coming to the French capital. The 60-year-old does have one more year on his contract, so PSG would need to navigate that aspect if they hire Mourinho.
