Mbappe Sends a Special Message to Messi After Winning a Prestigious Award

For the fourth time in his career, Paris Saint-Germain forward Kylian Mbappe won UNFP’s Ligue 1 Player of the Year award. Mbappe was named the winner of this honor during the UNFP Awards ceremony on Sunday.

During his acceptance speech, Mbappe took some time to thank the club and the team’s coaching staff. The French forward also thanked Lionel Messi, who was also nominated for this prestigious award.

“Of course, I thank Leo (Messi), who has helped me a lot along with all the players,” Mbappe said.

Mbappe has been a standout performer for the reigning Ligue 1 champions this season. He currently leads France’s top flight in goal contributions with 32, and he has scored 28 goals in Ligue 1 play, as he holds a one-goal lead over Olympique Lyonnais forward Alexandre Lacazette for the top spot on this leaderboard.

Messi put together a strong resume for the honor, especially as he has recorded an astounding 16 assists in league play this season. In the end, it was Mbappe who became the first four-time winner of this award.

Mbappe and Messi are slated to feature in PSG’s final match of the season, as the Ligue 1 powerhouse will meet Clermont Foot on matchday 38.

    1. Well put! Bravo. 👏👏👏👏
But that what makes Messi a goat, Sir. He is a complete footballer. Unlike someone in Saudi Arabia? What’s his name?

  2. Ok so first off, Kylian Mbappe is not your son, second you are not the president of France, and third you don’t own PSG! And do you know that guy who’s selfish and wants to score all the goals! He is in your so called “your PSG”!
