Julián Álvarez became the youngest Argentine to score in the Champions League semifinals at 23 years, three months and 17 days. The Manchester City striker surpasses Lionel Messi, who had the record at age 23, 10 months and three days.

After Manchester City went up 3-0 and was well on their way to going to the UEFA Champions League final, Álvarez scored late in stoppage time to add more salt to the Real Madrid would. Nonetheless, it also put the 23-year-old in rare company.
