Ex-Mourinho Assistant Believes Roma Boss Right Man for PSG

Paris Saint-Germain will likely be in the market for a new manager as the future of current manager Christophe Galtier remains uncertain.

One of the names circulating regarding a possible replacement is AS Roma boss Jose Mourinho. The Portuguese club chief addressed the rumors regarding a potential move to PSG, saying he hasn’t spoken to anyone.

Nonetheless, Mourinho’s former assistant coach José Morais believes that the 60-year-old would be an ideal fit for the French giants should they hire him this summer.

“He would be the ideal coach for PSG,” Morais told maisfutebol (h/t Paris Fans). “It can help owners get what they’re looking for: winning the UCL after so long. He can handle this locker room because the quality is already there.”

Sporting advisor Luis Campos will have to determine who will be the next managerial hire for the French giants. However, because of the trophies on his resume, Mourinho brings plenty of UEFA Champions League experience and can command the squad’s respect.

It will be interesting to see if Campos does pull the trigger and brings the “Special One” to Paris or if he has other plans for who should manage the squad for the 2023-24 season.
