Paris Saint-Germain could be in the mix for a new manager as Christophe Galtier’s future in the French capital is uncertain.
Recently, the Ligue 1 giants have been linked to Jose Mourinho, Luis Enrique and even Xabi Alonso. However, the latest name is Palmeiras manager Abel Ferreira.
Brazilian media outlet Globo reported on Thursday that Ferreira is among the managerial candidates for the PSG job. Nonetheless, there is so far no discussion between Ferreira and PSG sporting advisor Luis Campos.
According to the information, Ferreira and Campos are longtime friends, which explains why the Portuguese tactician would be in the mix.
🚨 Abel Ferreira (Palmeiras) fait bien partie des prétendants au poste d'entraîneur du PSG. Cependant il n'y a jusque là aucune discussion entre les 2 clubs.

Ferreira has succeeded since heading to Brazil and took over at Palmeiras in November 2020.
The 44-year-old has won the Copa Libertadores twice, a Brasileirão championship, Copa do Brasil and Recopa Sudamericana.
Although Ferreira has had success in Brazil, he’s also coached in Europe, having stints at Braga and PAOK Thessaloniki.
Ferreira is under contract with Palmeiras until 2024, but if Campos wants to bring him to Paris, he might be able to get out of his current deal.
