Paris Saint-Germain sporting advisor Luis Campos could revamp the midfield this summer. The capital club might move on from three players at the position, and Nicolo Barella could be the name the team goes after.
90min reported, citing sources, on Monday that PSG has enquired about the Inter Mian star’s availability to make an offer this summer. However, the report also states that Barella, under contract until 2026, is one of the few players the Serie A side isn’t keen on leaving.
Inter Milan reportedly has to raise funds this summer, but it will not come at the cost of losing Barella. 90min adds that PSG is willing to include Leandro Paredes in any potential bid, but after a less-than-impressive loan stint at Juventus, that may not be enough.
Furthermore, the French giants aren’t alone in their interest in Barella, as there’s plenty of Premier League interest in Barella, whose agents have previously tested the waters about a move to England’s top league.
Liverpool boss Jürgen Klopp has long admired Barella, while Manchester City and Chelsea are also closely monitoring his potential availability.
PSG is already taking one player from Inter Milan in Milan Škriniar, who arrives as a free agent, and now the Ligue 1 side has their eyes on the Italian club’s midfielder. Will they get him? For now, it appears no.
